An Tearmann
The name is Irish for “Sanctuary”. The cottage is situated in an area known as Carrowmore, on an elevation; on the lower slopes of Farragan Hill, just to the north of, and overlooking Malin Town. The “back” of the cottage faces the “front” or south side, from which the most magnificent panoramic views of Trawbreaga Bay and the Inishowen Hills can be enjoyed. The house occupies a large property surrounded by a graveled drive, with an entrance that is “signposted” by two distinctive single stone pillars; – useful markers when arriving for the first time.
