Steeped in heritage, the town of Ramelton has managed to retain much of its charm and character through preserving many of the wonderful historical Georgian buildings that give the village a unique identity in this part of Ireland. The village is not only blessed with wonderful architecture, but also with a beautiful location on the banks of the River Lennon.
Within this setting, there is a busy village with many facilities for you to enjoy during your visit. The recently renovated Town Hall is the venue for a variety of entertainment, including concerts and stage plays. The weekly Country Market is renowned for its fresh vegetables, home-baked goods, and locally crafted gifts. In addition to Conway’s and the Bridge Bar there are several other quaint pubs in the village.
We are two sisters with a background in the arts and a passion for interiors. A former shop over 100 years old, “Elizabeth House” is named after our grandmother, an inspirational figure in our lives. The house is located in our beloved Ramelton - a town steeped in heritage and history. Donegal, the often-forgotten county, has so much to offer and we can’t wait to share that with you.
