Inishcoo
Inishcoo House is a beautifully restored 18C coastguard house standing alone on an uninhabited 109-acre island. Inishcoo Island is just 5 minutes boat ride from the fishing village of Burtonport on the mainland. The house has been partly rebuilt and refurbished as a comfortable eco-house but retains its unique character.

The large south-facing terrace looks out over the beautiful bay. The house and surrounding garden are completely enclosed and safe for wandering children. Beyond the old stone wall surrounding the garden are another 6 acres of enclosed private grounds where children can play among the wildflowers and boulders.
We had an amazing time on Inishcoo
We had an amazing time on Inishcoo, wandering the island, swimming, kayaking playing games. The house is perfect and exactly what we had expected, if not more. Heating was on when we arrived, which was nice. There is also a lovely fire in the main room. Beds were perfect, rooms spotless. I would highly recommend for a group of friends or family who want to get away from everything for a few days.
Amazing location and beautiful house
Amazing location and beautiful house, it was our second visit we love everything about inishcoo house and island, we can’t wait to return, the host Oscar is brilliant and we definitely recommend a stay in inishcoo house, the children insist it’s the best holiday they have ever been on, back just one night and they are already asking when we can return
It was one of the best trips away we’ve had
Cannot fault Inishcoo at all. It was one of the best trips away we’ve had in a long time. From the second we arrived we felt relaxed and at home. The boat journey over took about 5 minutes and Oscar who took us out on the boat was great. He was so friendly and nothing was a problem for him. The house was immaculate and there was plenty for the kids to do too (not one iPad was looked for) I cannot wait to stay again!
Perfectly suited for a big group
Was a trip of a lifetime. Perfectly suited for a big group. Had more facilities than we could have dreamed of. Stunning scenery, could explore the island for days!
Idyllic location, big and beautiful house
Idyllic location, big and beautiful house, and plenty of things to do. We had a fantastic stay, adults and children alike!
we had an excellent stay
Myself and a group of friends stayed on Inishcoo for new years. We had a great time. Caroline was very helpful and quick to answer any of our questions. Oscar was brilliant and great fun. He gave us loads of great tips when dropping us off to the island. The house is lovely and has a well stocked kitchen. Overall we had an excellent stay.
