We had a brilliant week staying at Maghery Beach Cottage house in Maghery. The house was well equipped, spotlessly clean and deceivingly more spacious than we expected. A short walk from the beach, playground, the Strand Bar and cafe, we had everything we needed for a relaxing week away and only used the car for topping-up the groceries every few days. Theres lots of green space around the house for the kids to play which came in handy when friends who were staying nearby came to visit. We did some lovely walks around Maghery and went to the beach most days, walking home in our wetsuits and jumping straight into the downstairs shower to warm up! Mary was a great hostess and was quick to respond to any queries I had. We really enjoyed our stay and could not recommend Maghery Beach Cottage house enough.

Beautiful location, perfect house with everything you need. Mary was very helpful and gave us some great recommendations.

The cottage itself was lovely and very spacious. Everything was finished to a high standard. There was an open fire but unfortunately there was no fire lighters or fuel to start a small fire when we arrived so just be mindful to bring some with you. The shop was 10min drive and fuel available there. Bedrooms spacious and bed comfortable. Bathrooms lovely and showers warm and powerful. Towels provided. The surrounding area was lovely and had plenty to do. The beach was 5min walk and play park for children. Sea Arch 5min drive was just beautiful at sunset. The local pub was brilliant and people were very friendly. They even had a singsong. Overall highly recommend Mary’s cottage. We had a lovely stay.

Just back from a 4 night stay and we cant speak highly enough about the accomodation, location and local hospitality! The house was spotlessly clean and we appreciated the little touches including the games cupboard and books. Our host Mary was attentive and happy to help in any way. The beds were comfortble and the showers had great pressure (something we always appreciate) The beach was stunning and less than a 5 minute walk away. The local pub, coffee booth with home baking (the biscoff rocky road cake was gorgeous) and chipper on the friday was fantastic. We look forward to a return visit very soon!

Mary is an excellent host. The cottage is beautiful, really modern kitchen and cozy living area. Beds are super comfortable, overall gorgeous place to stay! Loads to do around Maghery as well.

Really beautiful house, deceivingly spacious. Had a fabulous few days, perfect location for summer when the sun is out with the beach right on your doorstep. Mary was great, so nice and easy to deal with.

Enjoyed a wonderful long weekend at no 4 Maghery Cottage. Cottage is clean, deceptively spacious and cozy. Beach is a 5 minute walk away & boat to Arranmore in Burtonport is 15min drive away – highly recommended.
Definitely will recommend cottage to friends and family.

The cosy accommodation itself was one of our highlights on our holidays. Perfect location, kitchen fully equipped and great fire place. Only downside is that’s it’s quite bright outside at night what might effect you if you re a light sleeper. Would definitely choosier this one again

Absolutely gorgeous cottage in a stunning location. Lovely beach on the doorstep and there’s lots to see and do in the general area too. Mary was a fabulous host – always prompt and helpful in her replies. Couldn’t recommend any more highly 🙂

Such a great stay and credit to Mary for the sheer luxury she offers with this property. Well designed with tasteful decor and all the mod cons such as smart TV and high speed Wi-Fi for the kids.Very accessible to Dungloe and a perfect base to explore the area and great eateries in Dungloe with superb hospitality all round. Special recommendation to eat at the Lobster Pot in Burtonport and McCaffertys in Dungloe. Rounding the weekend off with a night cap at the Strand bar at Maghery!

Our stay in the cottage was absolutely perfect. we came away wishing we had another night or two! The cottage was immaculate, an amazing location, we could not have asked for anything more. Will be back!

A very well equipped and very comfortable cottage on this beautiful coast, the hosts are super helpful too. We had a wonderful stay exploring the area and enjoying walks with our dogs on the local beach and beyond. We cannot recommend highly enough.

Cottage was lovely. Everything we needed to enjoy our stay was on hand. Quiet location and breathtaking beach. Mary was fantastic. Kept me informed and was available at all times if i had needed to contact her. 10/10

Maghery beach cottage was perfect, it was such a cosy setting, the amenities in the cottage were perfect and suck a family friendly area. The host was extremely helpful and left a lovely basket of turf for the fire. Would definitely love to revisit.

We had the perfect stay in the perfect location in a gorgeous and charming house! Freshly refurbished and fully equipped the house was our home away from home. Just a few steps from the beach and the coffee house we had everything we needed close by. Mary was absolutely lovely to meet and very helpful during our stay!! We would absolutely recommend this accommodation and would love to come back again!

Wonderful location in a very peaceful village right on a beautiful beach. Local pub with a new coffee and ice-cream shop attached within a couple of minutes walk. Fishing nearby. Wonderful football pitch right in the centre of the village – although not public seemed free to all comers which fits with the generally laid back and welcoming atmosphere of the place. House recently renovated to a high level and spotless.

Everything about the cottage was perfect for us, a beautiful spot, a lovely clean house that had all the amenities we could need. Walking distance to the beach, beautiful walks, a wee bar and a Friday big chippy (it was delicious!) Mary was great in communicating with us, we will definitely be back

Our stay at this property was fantastic. The cottages are lovely and clean and modern. The location is fantastic – 10min drive to Dungloe and 4mins walk to the beach. We loved our peaceful and relaxing stay by the beach in Maghery. The cottage was delightful and had everything we needed. Check in/out was very convenient. We just wanted a few days down time and this was an ideal location for us. We loved the walk up to Crowhy head and scramble down the hill to the sea holes in the rocks.

Beautiful location right by the beach! Maghery Beach Cottage was very clean and modern. It was a lovely place for a weekend getaway! There is a lovely pub less than a 2 min walk away from the cottage with very friendly staff! Great walks and sightseeing right at your door. Would definitely recommend anyone to Maghery Beach Cottage, will be back again!

Lovely spot in the west of Donegal – felt like coming home after a long drive. The house was warm, turf was provided for our evening fire. Everything was clean and fresh too. Out host Mary communicated with us all the way – so there was no worries about the key or about our leaving. We’d stay again on our next trip to the area!
