It is one of about 10 original fisherman’s cottages in the little clachan (hamlet) of Slievebawn and nestles above the beaches of Sandport and the pier at Portmore, Malin Head.

From the entrance, the room to the left includes the sitting room with an open fireplace, a fitted kitchen, and a dining area. To the right of the cottage is a spacious single bedroom with a double bed and a single bed. Between the two rooms, facing the entrance is a neat and clean shower room. The cottage has high vaulted ceilings throughout, providing an airy feeling and the solid pine floor boards ensure warmth and brightness.
