The house is approx. 3 km from the fishing village of Greencastle and about 8km to the seaside town of Moville. It is an ideal base for family beach holidays in a safe and peaceful environment. The house also serves well as a touring base for the Inishowen peninsula and Northern Ireland. The historic city of Derry is 30 minutes drive away and the Antrim coastline and the Giant’s Causeway can be reached via the Greencastle-Magilligan ferry. The house is in a great place for families, walkers, golfers, artists and anglers and also for those just wanting a quiet and beautiful place to relax.

The quality of the furnishings and cleanliness was A*
An absolutely fantastic time was had in the most luxurious surroundings. Although the pictures on the website were lovely it certainly didn’t do the house enough justice. The quality of the furnishings and cleanliness was A*. Will definitely be recommending Tara’s House to everyone as we had a blissful stay and intend to return. Many thanks again.

Absolutely fantastic week!
Absolutely fantastic week! Wonderful cottage and a wonderful area to explore. Even managed to do some family root searches. Donegal confirms our belief that Ireland is the most beautiful country in the world with breathtaking scenery around every turn. Thanks to Kate and Gavin (and Tara) for allowing us to stay in such a wonderful place and for being so helpful in our family ‘search’

Back again but for longer this time – wonderful everything as before – maybe even more so. Shame about Drunken Duck but Rosato’s in Moville is very good. Great food, service and décor at the Malin Hotel. McGrory’s of Culdaff brill too – brilliant music nights!
