Visitors can view the Atlantic Ocean lapping on Ballyhieran’s mile long golden beach. Fanad is renowned for its fishing. For an angling experience in the “home of the browns” there are many well-stocked lakes to choose from. Activities locally include golf, surfing, surf school, leisure centre, dive centre, horse riding, fishing and walking.

On this neighbouring peninsula, you are in close proximity to Glenveigh National Park, a must to explore – recently gaining a lot of media coverage for its eagle breeding programme. Rosapenna Golf Course, Downings Beach, and Carrigart are also on the Rosguill peninsula. Brochures and maps are provided within the house for your convenience. Fanad Lighthouse is a 5 min drive to the east.
