Amazing Cottage
Arrived Saturday, Alanna had fresh scones and jam on the table to welcome us to the cottage. What an amazing place. Warm home. Also we could also lit a fire., with plenty of peats, Booking was easy with Natasha, told me Alanna would be in touch before we arrived. Which she was. Very friendly and helpful, and stayed in touch with me throughout our stay, didn’t want to come home.

We had a wonderful time at the Sea House and appreciated Shona’s help
We had a wonderful time at the Sea House and appreciated Shona’s help. Everything worked out well and we put on quite a few kilometers driving in the area. The weather cooperated well during the entire visit so that helped us quite a lot. Lovely place to just stay in place and enjoy the house and the environment. Dungloe had pretty much everything we needed. Look forward spending time again in the Sea House.
Our stay in Dungloe and the cottage on the Ocean was fabulous
Our stay in Dungloe and the cottage on the Ocean was fabulous. Beautiful area and wonderful people. Sharon was very helpful and responsive. We ran out of oil and lost heat and got water and it was addressed within a couple of hours when we called. Deb and I would come back anytime. I highly recommend staying here.
The sea house in Toberkeen was love a first sight
The sea house in Toberkeen was love a first sight. Its magical views over the bay with forever changing landscape colours and its cosy comfortable tasteful and beautifully arranged interior ticked absolutely all our boxes. The fresh scones on arrival, the warm welcome and the turf fire for the colder evenings were added treats that made our stay even more authentic. There is nothing we would change and nothing we missed (not even the sunshine) during our stay with our family of 4 at the sea house. In fact, we loved it so much we returned two year running and cannot wait to come again. We could recommend it to anyone in search of beauty, tranquility, authenticity, taste and comfort.
a perfect cottage hideaway with all modern conveniences
The Sea House, in Toberkeen, Dungloe, is a perfect cottage hideaway with all modern conveniences. On arrival, we were greeted with home-baked scones and fresh flowers. There is a spacious kitchen dining area and two comfortable living rooms separate from the bedrooms and washroom area. The view of Arranmore and the sea is breathtaking, and as the cottage faces west we experienced magical sunsets every evening. The silence was lovely. A local hare was a visitor in the mornings and nice birds flitted in the garden. The neighbours were friendly and Dungloe itself was vibrant with the annual Mary from Dungloe Festival. We will be back.
Simply the best self-catering cottage we have ever stayed in
My two children and I stayed at The Sea House in early June and found it simply the best self-catering cottage we have ever stayed in. It has been carefully restored to provide exquisite accommodation in a stunning position overlooking Aran Island and the Atlantic. The surrounding area is also rich in wildlife such as seals and otters. I shall look forward to returning in the future.
We felt like living in a design house
We had a very pleasant time in your house. You arranged the house in a way that just everything was there. We felt like living in a design house and we enjoyed the wonderful views. We had one day with rain from the beginning of the morning till the end of the evening; no problem, from behind the large window in the living room we watched the seals and the changing tide. I must confess that we were happy that during the other days we had sunshine too so we could go out. Too bad we only could stay 6 days! Oh, and let me not forget to say that Sharon was a wonderful hostess..
The house was perfect and I loved your design touches
Hello Natasha
We had a perfect time and came home well relaxed, although had to leave a day early as ferry was cancelled because of a storm, and we had to reschedule. The house was perfect and I loved your design touches – the colours, the curtains and the crockery – everything really! It was such a pleasure to go out and come back to the place ,to look out at the tide going in and out and the sunsets. We would love to hear about your other place when its finished could you let us know?
We have had holiday rentals for years in the West of Ireland, but have to say that this house and the friendliness of the people was outstanding. A perfect house for relaxing and unwinding, with the best taste in interior design and a well equipped kitchen. Everything was spotlessly clean and bright but cosy even on a rainy day. Thank you for the lovely welcome and we hope to visit again soon.
