We spent two nights over halloween mid-term in the beautiful “Cottage by the Sea” and it truly was five star!
The cottage is gorgeous. Decorated to the highest of standards, It is spacious, warm and cosy and has everything you could possibly need and more!
It has stunning views across the estuary and mountains and is perfectly situated to explore south Donegal.
We took a short drive to the Assaranca waterfall, parked up and walked the stunning Maghera beach and caves. We also visited Killybegs and Slieve League.
Ardara is a lovely wee town only 5 minute drive from the cottage. We had great coffee and scones from the Heritage Centre, first class guinness in the Corner House and a lovely dinner in Mickalenes.
We highly recommend staying at Cottage by the Sea and will definitely revisit.
