I stayed here over new year (2012/13) with my husband and mother. We had a terrific welcome from John and had an absolutely brilliant stay in the cottage, it was even better than we expected and what we could image from the photos. It was just newly renovated so we were using everything brand new and for the first time!!! It was great to have 2 bathroom facilities in the cottage which meant everyone had their own space 🙂 We cooked in during our stay and the kitchen is really well equipped. The washer and drier would come in hand if I’d been there with my nieces and nephews!!!

Nearby beaches (turn right when you come out of the lane) are absolutely beautiful and relatively sheltered for Donegal! The rusty nail pub nearby had a great atmosphere and good traditional food! We also ate a few times in the Ballyliffin Lodge and we would highly recommend it. As it was over new year the tea rooms at the waterfall were closed but definitely looked like a place for a return visit and the walk to the waterfall was lovely and well worth it.

Overall we all had an absolutely lovely time in the cottage, it was perfect for a relaxing getaway after a brilliant but busy Christmas!! We will be back 🙂
