We booked Carly’s Cottage this August to have an extended break in the Gweedore area to attend a family wedding. Having received a warm welcome by Pat we settled into the cosy home all set for a fabulous weekend. Having spent many a childhood holiday in the local area Carly’s Cottage did not disappoint! The house itself had absolutely everything we needed and more – a big plus was the number of bathrooms available with 7 adults getting ready for a wedding!! The views from the house were amazing and a short drive to the beautiful local beaches – of which there are many! Our dogs loved the windy walks on the beautiful Atlantic coastline – stunning views that will always stay with me!!! Another big positive is the close proximity to the famous Teac Jacks which hosted great service, drinks, food, and entertainment for everyone. As well as this we had a great Sunday lunch at The Ivy restaurant (recommended by our host) which is about a ten-minute drive. Such great laughs and good times were had by all and we are already talking about making it an annual family trip!!!
