This is a great house for a family with lots of kids or even for two small families. Loads of space, plenty of showers / WC, fully functioning self-catering holiday home. Patrick is a great host, very responsive, and loads of local knowledge. We were on a trip around the northwest of Ireland and used Gweedore as a base to explore northwest Donegal. It is an area of breathtaking beauty. The house is 2 min walk from Teach Jack a lovely local hotel with great food music and craic. We went sea kayaking around inish mean with Gareth Doherty of Selkie sailing, a local man with infinite local knowledge of history, marine life, bird life, and fauna. We visited Glenveagh National Park, Glebe House, horn head and swam in the local golden sandy beaches. The village is 5 mins away by car for all your reasonably priced supplies. I couldn’t recommend this place more. Our only regret is we didn’t stay longer ( 3 nights). It’s a bit of a treck from Cork but it was well worth it.
