Will be back again without a shadow of a doubt

We are just back from our stay in the beautiful Mia’s Cottage in Urris, just outside the village of Clonmany. I travelled with my partner and our 4-year-old boy. The cottage is beautifully finished with all Mod Cons. It was very warm and cozy and that was without having to light the fire or burn oil 🙂 There is also a private garden with plenty of parking and a play area for young children, which my little man loved as there was a slide and swings and see-saw so he was well entertained. There was also a Playstation there, just in case the weather may not have been so good. 🙂

Mia’s Cottage was a great base for the nearby beautiful beaches of Lenan (Right when leaving the house, about 5 minutes drive) and Tullagh Bay to the left. There is also an equestrian center at Tullagh Bay so plenty to occupy kids. We picked an excellent week for it as temperatures hit 25c at one point. There are lots of great walking routes around the nearby mountains of Ractin and Dunaff and Mamore Gap to keep ramblers entertained. Ballyliffin is not far away either for aspiring golfers.

I also had the pleasure if witnessing a Pod of Dolphins at close quarters on the nearby Doagh Isle, mesmerizing to say the least and the fact that they swam close to the shoreline was brilliant for my 4-year-old to get a proper look. All in all, we got exactly what we needed from our stay. Comfort and tranquility in the beautiful surroundings of Donegal. Will be back again without a shadow of a doubt if the owners John and Dolores will have us. 🙂
