Enjoyable Stay
Really enjoyed our stay. The main bedroom is comfortable (there were only two of us so we didn’t use the other one). Good shower. Even in the heatwave the cottage is fairly cool so we put on the fire one night.. Out front is a great suntrap for breakfast. John’s three recommendations for restaurants are spot on and the three local beaches he recommends are great.
Lovely Restful and Cosy Stay
We had such a lovely restful and cosy stay. The Bedrooms were lovly with countryside views and the beds were really comfortable, we had great sleeps. The bay is only a few minutes driveaway and the scenery is beautiful. We would definitely return. Thank you John
Splendid
Splendid location, with beautiful views. It’s great to experience total silence and total darkness during night. John provided a guide book, that helped us explore the Wild Atlantic Route. This is one of the rarest reasons of mine to be lost completly into the nature. Had all immediate needs to stay, would reccomend anyone going there to enjoy the serenity. My kids loved to play outdoors – there was plenty of space for them. Loads of wonderful roads to drive and explore. Thanks John.
Excellent!
Excellent host and perfect accommodation. Had plenty of space for 2 couples and well equipped kitchen. John was incredibly helpful and dealt with any issues we had immediately. Highly recommend.
An Awesome Stay
An awesome calm and private place to stay close to Mother Nature, in the midst of farms and some amazing dairy cows! The house was well kept, tidy and John (the host) had made all arrangements for us, including setting up the range fire. We as a group of two couples, loved the place to unwind, relax and detox.
Loved it!
We absolutely loved our stay in Gracie’s Cottage. It was a beautiful cottage in a lovely location, really close to quiet beach. John was a great host and had gave great tips

Enjoyed my stay for a week at “Gracie’s Cottage”! All the sights are an easy days outing offering round trips to see more of the Wild Atlantic Way ! After all the sightseeing relax with your own country, farm and sea views! John is a great host, helpful, and responsive offering very inviting and comfortable holiday accom. Great bed and pillows for a good sleep! RECOMMENDED!!
Enjoyable Week
We had a really enjoyable week at Grace’s Cottage which coincided with warm sunny weather which made all the difference. It was an excellent location just to chill out with the only sounds being the odd mooing of a cow, bleating of a sheep, tweeting of a bird or a buzz of a bee by the flowers. The mobile signal was poor which added to our enjoyment as our phones weren’t going ping every few minutes. The cottage was clean and comfortable and at 150 year old was full of character. The directions to the cottage were spot on provided your sums were right in converting kilometres to miles whilst the location was within easy reach of a number of beaches. John left plenty of leaflets detailing points of interest within easy reach. We enjoyed our stay and would have no hesitation in recommending the cottage for a quiet stay just to get away from it all.
Fabulous Stay
We spent a fabulous few days at Gracie’s Cottage, It is in a beautiful location, quiet and peaceful with stunning scenery and a 7 minute drive from the village of Culdaff. The cottage is gorgeous, spotlessly clean and very cosy. John is an excellent host, very responsive and helpful.
Extremely Comfortable
John’s cottage was lovely and he was proactive and communicative. We especially appreciated his local recommendations. The cottage is quite remote but his instructions made it easy to find and the location is stunning. The beds were extremely comfortable and we appreciated the thoughtful touches like electric blankets and the fire that John set up. Would certainly stay again!
Fantastic Week Stay
We are just back after a fantastic week staying at Gracie’s Cottage. The Place was spotless when we arrvedand John was a brilliant host. The cottage was full of charmwith brilliant views and we enjoyed a week of being switched off. Local beaches are fabulous and we loved our visit to wild Donegal – just incredible. We also got to walkwith alapacas and highly recommend a trip for the craic. A trip to Nancy’s barn for the world famous chowder is a must! John Had pointed out all these attractions and more in his brilliant guide book – it was very helpful. Thanks again for a great stay.
New Year Celebrations
We had a lovely few days relaxing and celebrating New Years Eve at John’s Place. Everything was as described and John was very responsive to any questions we had. we could stay again!
Christmas at the Cottage
We had a fantastic stay for Christmas. Perfect getaway in a very quiet and remote place. The cottage is with its own atmosphere, very cost and clean. Quiet evening by the fire with a glass of mulled wine, what else could you wish. John is a great host, thank you a lot!
Great Place
My stay at John’s place was great. He was very helpful. Keep communicating to check in case there’s anything wrong. And prepared logs for the fire place! Me and my parents enjoyed cosy living room with fire for hours!
Really Enjoyable Week
We had a really enjoyable week at John’s house. It’s well placed to explore inishowen and much of the Donegal section of The Wild Atlantic Way. Scenery is beautiful and the house is just 10 minutes drive from a great sandy beach called Culdaff. We had just one small question for John while we were there and he responded immediately, Very comfortable house.
Ideal for a get away in the country side
John’s place is lovely and ideal for a get away in the country side away from the city. It’s warm and spacious! Our stay was decorated with Halloween themes and the equipment looks like new!

Great Time
We had a great time there! John and his family were very supportive. Clean, quiet, good communication and respectful.
Cottage was very comfortable
John was a very responsive and friendly host. Cottage was very comfortable with lots of character. WIFI is touch and go if you need it for work, but it didn’t dampen our experience. A short drive to Culdaff and it’s stunning beach. Beautiful surroundings, would not hesitate to book again. Would highly reccommend for a peaceful gataway.
Very Lovely Cottage
Very rural and quiet place. We loved the visits of the cows in the morning. Very lovely cottage. We have used the fire every night.
